Happy Sunday! We’re about to head into Fashion Revolution Week and, accordingly, this week’s news round-up includes a few relevant pieces. Keep tuned for some more posts on FRW throughout this week.

Is H&M misleading consumers with it’s talk about sustainability? My view: doing something is better than doing nothing, but independent ethical certification and a slow fashion model are best.

Lucy Siegle (ethical fashion author) is also chiming in about the ‘coincidence’ of H&M timing its ‘World Recycle Week’ next week from 18 April, on the very same week as Fashion Revolution Week.

Apple says its entire supply chain is now audited to ensure it’s free of conflict-sourced materials.

Baptist World Aid are saying on social media that Australian budget department store Big W has published a list of their final stage manufacturers ahead of the Australian Fashion Report next week. I’ve yet to find an independent news outlet report of this, but I’ll keep you posted….
