Let’s talk about positives, shall we?
But first, a little something on going through challenging times. A couple of days after this break up, an old supervisor said to me, ‘sometimes life throws curveballs’. At the time, I felt so miserable that this didn’t mean much to me. But now I’m back with a clear head and a healthy dose of my usual optimism… Man, it’s true. And it’s a GOOD thing that life does throw curveballs. Obstacles, setbacks, unexpected turns that undermine your sense of what’s normal… these are ‘hard full stops’ that give you an opportunity – and space and impetus – to reassess your life. Do you like the direction it’s headed? Are your priorities right? I’m thankful for those opportunities. Really thankful for them.
In March, I was also thankful for:
1. Little Canberraisms, like the balloon festival.
2. A trip home to Perth for a dear couple’s wedding, and catching up with all my closest friends.
It just gets better and better from here.
