BRAND FEATURE: CARLIE BALLARD TRANSEASONAL 14

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight in Australia in New Zealand, I’m writing about my favourite new season collections.

It’s only fitting I post about an Australian label.

Carlie Ballard is the brains behind one of my favourite ethical online retails, Indigo Bazaar. Exciting news – she recently launched her self-titled label, Carlie Ballard.

I’ve seen how beautifully curated Indigo Bazaar is, so I knew the Carlie Ballard label would be good stuff.

True to expectations, it is crisp, tailored and elegant. The collection is made up of classic, well made pieces (reflected in the slightly higher price point), but with a modern element – such as the Ikat print that features throughout – or a unique twist. Take the back of this white button up shirt, for example.

I don’t know where this model’s pants are. But we will overlook this detail for the moment.

I also love this chambray shirt featuring a back panel in the Ikat print.
