It’s been a busy week and I’ve been a little stumped as to what I should post about for Fairtrade Friday. I finally found inspiration this evening at yoga… when in a pose that involved me putting my head on the gym’s yoga mat I was using (and consequently smelling it). Yeahhh it was gross and prompted me to begin thinking about buying one of my own. And of course when I start thinking about buying something, my mind immediately wanders to Fair Trade options.

To my knowledge, there isn’t a Fairtrade/Fair Trade certification for rubber (yet). However, I’ve happened across a couple of companies making yoga mats that have ethics and sustainability at the heart of their business models:

Mat by ecoyoga from myescape.co.nz for $85.00 or from yogamatters.com for £43.00GBP.

Yours Fairly,

P.S. Some great yoga bags made with Fairtrade cotton on Etsy

P.P.S. If you have anything you would like me to post on – let me know!
