FAIRTRADE FRIDAY: LADIES’ HATS

Today I’m introducing you to the world’s first certified World Fair Trade Organization. Readers, meet Pachacuti. Pachacuti, meet readers.

Incidentally, Pachacuti is also the first company that will receive money from my first pay check from my new job. I’ve been eyeing off their hats – particularly those of the floppy variety – for SO long and secretly high-fiving whatever fashion folk put wide-brim hats in fashion. If you’ve seen me before, you’ll know how pale I am and so sun smart fashion is kinda my thing. Plus, what better way to cover up a bad hair day?

And what better timing? Pachacuti are currently having a sale on some of their items.

Here are my three favourites:

pachacuti Belle Black on sale for £22.00GBP (from £55.00GBP).
I think this would be perfect year-round (think an oversized knit, tights and boots in head-to-toe black for winter).

pachacuti 2Bardot Black £47.60GBP (on sale from £59.50GBP).
I can imagine wearing this on the beach with a jewel-coloured bikini and oversized black sunglasses. Very French Riviera.

people tree This Pachacuti Narrow Brim Fedora is actually on sale at People Tree for £29.00GBP (from £58.00GBP).

hatsnew04Annnnd this is not a Pachacuti, but a bonus hat I really like (particularly this dove grey colour… gorgeous).
Bianca Adventurer in Cloud (also in Coral and Magenta) from The Stable Door for $172.00AUD (on sale from $204.95AUD).
Ethical credentials: Made in Australia, designed by Aussie label Bec & Bridge in collaboration with iconic Akubra hats (and as seen on Nicole Richie.)

I hope your enjoy Valentine’s Day today and feel very loved. If you’re looking to give some love to yourself, my suggestion would be to take advantage of the sale at Pachacuti and also give some love to a manufacturer in Ecuador through buying one of their gorgeous hats!

Yours Fairly,

Ashlee
