If you’re reading this, I’m on the plane to Geneva… yay! It’s been a whirlwind week of finishing up with the Global Poverty Project and getting ready for this next chapter of work. I’m pretty sure I’ve redefined ‘last minute’ (by beginning packing an hour and a half before I was due to leave for the airport). I’m wishing I had more time to spend with Tom, family, and friends before I left but I’m hoping to make up for it when I return for the summer before the move to Canberra.
Speaking of summer, I bought these sandals in readiness:
These are available from Fashion-Conscience for £29.25 (on sale)! Be warned that the sizing runs a little big – consider going a half size down than your usual size.

This season I wanted sandals that are a departure from the gladiator-style that have been on trend for a few years now. This sleek minimalist design appeals to me and has steadily been gaining popularity.
Stay tuned for Part 2 – an outfit post featuring these sandals from yesterday (my last day in Perth) when Mum and I had a coffee at the beach. It will be the last time I will have the opportunity to wear these sandals for a few months as I’m switching hemispheres and flying to Autumn in Geneva! Autumn is usually my favourite season in Perth, but 5 degrees Celsius (the average in Geneva at the moment) is far colder than Perth’s winter and sandals are obviously out of the question!
Sleek or gladiator? Which style sandals do you prefer?
